I'm an 18 year old who has not seen much of the world, especially the less fortunate places. I have easy access to food, water and shelter, and without realizing, I take it for granted each day. I want to be able to make any amount of impact that I can, to help better the lives of those who did not get as lucky as I did. Therefore, I will be participating in LiveDifferent's 13-week Academy program. During my time in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti we will be working on various community outreach projects, such as but not limited to; volunteering at women's shelters, helping build/renovate homes, teaching English, volunteering to assist the disabled community, and senior homes. I'm looking forward to working alongside LiveDifferent's partner communities and families to learn and share in the experience of making an impact.
