Your tax receipt is for 100% of your gift and arrives by email within 7 days for a credit card gift, or 21 days for direct withdrawal. If you’re direct family, or the participant, the CRA treats your gift as non-arm’s length: your receipt is for 70% and comes after the Build. The policy above explains why.
